I'll be using my OC, Denim Jeans Princess, whos biography can be found in the "Adventuring Ocs" sub-board!
---
Denim hung by the crooks of her legs from a Money Tree, her hair falling loosely towards the ground, gravity taking its toll. She was busy repairing a loose thread in her jeans. It was a cold winter's day, and she had escaped the kingdom to enjoy the cool weather. The Pillow Guards were probably frantically searching for her, but she didn't care. She didn't want to be trapped in that dusty Comfort Kingdom anyway.
(I just noticed pretty much every female character in Adventure Time is a princess ^^)

(Sylphe's biography is in the Adventuring OCs board)
It was a nice cold day, the perfect temperature and climate to practice her levitation magic. Sylphe smiled as she ran through the frosty woods, trying to find the perfect spot. She had been itching to practice magic since she found out she had skills in levitating things. Before, she only thought she could activate her sword, but it turned out she could also lift and move things with her mind. That, of course, didn't mean she was any good at it.
She found an area with big chunks of snow and some cracked ice. "Perfect," she whispered as she admired the spot she had found.

Denim fell from her tree, startled by a voice she had hurd a bit aways away that murmured "Perfect." She heard it, for it had been very distinctive. "Ooof!" she yelped, her face having had a face-plant in the snow. She mumbled, realized no one would ever hear her, and got up dazily. Money had fallen from the tree as it had shook from her weight. She stuffed some in her pocket and laughed.
She looked around and spotted whoever had spoken. Sure enough, a girl was not too far away, obviously not noticing her for her back was faced away from Denim.

Sylphe thought she had heard something but quickly dismissed it; no animals would be out in the cold. And if there was someone else in the forest, wouldn't she have seen them? No matter, she came to the forest to practice her levitation magic, and that's what she was going to do.
After spotting a decent sized chunk of snow, she closed her eyes and the gem inside of her necklace began to glow. "Let's try this.." She placed one of her hands on the gem and the other in the direction of the snow chunk. A weak purple aura surrounded it and it lifted a few inches above the ground before the aura abruptly snapped and the snow fell back onto the ground.
That had been more intensive then Sylphe had expected. She had exhausted herself, and her legs didn't seem to want to work and she fell onto her knees.

"Oh no!" she exclaimed, watching as the girl's knees gave away and she plummeted into the snow. Running over in her snow boots, she kneeled beside her. "Oh my, are you okay?!?"
She had watched, amazed as the girl used her mind to lift a rock! Incredible!

Sylphe put one of her hands on her head. The surroundings around her wouldn't stop spinning. After a few minutes, the dizzines subsided and she was able to glance up at the girl who was at her side. "Yeah, I should be okay.. See, that was my first time practicing levitation, and I'm not very good at it."

"Not very good at it? That was awesome! Imagine if you practiced even more!" she exclaimed, giddy with amazement. "Man, and I got stuck with sewing." she mumbled, rolling her eyes.
She stetched out a hand to help her up.

"Thanks." Sylphe said lightly and then grabbed onto Denim's hand to help lift herself up. "Yeah, I know I need more practice. I get kind of discouraged when things don't go 'perfect the first time.' And I know I should just suck it up and practice more, but that's usually kind of hard for me to do." She heard what Denim had mumbled and added, "I couldn't sew to save my life, so I respect that you can."

That made Denim stop and think. "Yeah, I guess sewing can come in handy. It's just, it gets boring when our entire kingdom is like that. I should really learn to be thankful for what I have..." she said, slowing creeping into her "deep pondering" moments. She laughed, turning her attention back to Sylphe. "Sorry, I do that a lot." she mumbled, embarassed. "So, you from around here?"

"I understand. Our kingdom is good with psychic stuff, but we all have different skills in it. Talking to ghosts, controlling people's minds and stuff like that. I can only do levitation, and this-" Sylphe pulled a sword out from her bag. It was a very dim shade of purple. "-is only effective when I activate it with my mind." Sylphe closed her eyes and focused and the sword flashed a radiant neon purple. "So if someone tried to use my weapon against me it wouldn't work."
She realized Denim had asked her a question. "Guess I got a little ahead of myself there, sorry about that. I ramble a lot. Anyways, no, the Psychic Kingdom is a few miles from here. So I guess it's not that close but not that far."

"Whoa, someone not being able to use it against you must come in handy. And I think I've heard of Psychic Kingdom! Sometimes I pick up on random things my parents say. I'm from Comfort Kingdom, home of everything comfortable." Denim replied, smiling at the last part. "Anything you need, blankets, clothes, pillows, you name it."
She rocked back and forth on her boots, rubbing her hands together. "Nice Winter's day out, isn't it?"
